Tangub City opens 18th Christmas Symbols Festival
TANGUB CITY - The City of Tangub open its 18th Christmas Symbols Festival on December 1 with a display of gigantic and well-lit Christmas symbols on display at the city public plaza with Mayor Jenifer Wee Tan leading the switch-on ceremony.
An estimated 25,000 viewers from other places from Metro Manila, Central Visayas and some part of Mindanao crowded the structures that have consistently attracted tourists in the past.
Each lighted structure stands as high as 30 feet in height and occupies at least one hundred square meters.
The judging will be done in three sets. The competition will be open until January 8.
Mayor Tan said that the lighted Christmas symbols symbolize the light and hope not only for Tangub City but the country itself. ( Neptalie Batolenio)
