MONTOL National High School of Stimson Abordo, this city is taking the steps seriously toward the intensive campaign of drug education prevention in school and the community.
This in response to the Department Of Education’s (DepED’s) Order No.12, series of 2009, Strengthening the National Drug Education Program (NDEP) in schools and as stated in the Article IV of Republic Act No. 9165 known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002”.
Pat S. Rara, school principal said that with very limited resources, the road to fully implement the program is really an uphill and struggling battle. Thus, they can’t help but look for a concerned media practitioner who are willing to lend a helping hand and to take the social responsibility to serve for a worthy cause and shape the future of our students.
In response of the request of Rara, Neptalie Batolenio of dxDD AM Radyo Kampana, discussed the drug prevention education campaign for our youth and for all ages by airing in his regular program “Ponto y Ponto” the “Drug Education Concepts” that will somehow enlighten the people from all walks of life on the danger and the harmful effects that drugs can bring into the people’s lives.
