Vowing to serve the Ozamiznons, Lim said she would be a leader to solve the health, education, livelihood and peace and order problems faced by the residents.
She also assured the people in helping the barangay’s funding, marginalized sectors like the youth, women, elderly, and persons with disability, out of school youth, vendors, porters, and drivers.
In his part, League of Provinces in the Philippines (LPP) president and Misamis Occidental governor Loreto Leo Ocampos said that he also desires to run for mayor in Ozamiz to bring the real change in the city but he gave way for Lim after seeing the strength, character and competence of the lady councilor.
Believing that Lim could bring the real change to the city, Ocampos even called Lim as the Joan of Arc in Ozamiz. Joan of Arc is a national heroine of France and a Catholic saint. A peasant girl born in eastern France, she led the French army to several important victories during the Hundred Years' War, and claiming divine guidance.
Referring to the peace and order situation in Ozamiz, Ocampos hopes that the city can have the real change.
Ocampos stressed that his and Ozamiznons dreams can only be achieved if the people will pay the price and the price is change.
He uttered that Ozamiz can never be changed if only Lim and the officials wanted for change. Ocampos said that change must start in each one of the residents.
“Then pag-usab nato tanan we will change the government of Ozamiz City, we will change the leadership in Ozamiz City”, Ocampos said. (Neptalie A. Batolenio)
